We
are a non-profit organization with the mission to enhance networking
among Indonesian professionals in Singapore. We achieve this goal by
hosting events and working with other associations in organizing events. We
also disseminate information and news to over 2000 members on our mailing
list on a weekly basis, share this information with other mailing lists, and
publish this information on our website.
Our members consist primarily of professionals working in
all sectors of the Singaporean economy. Our members work for multinationals,
government-linked companies, small and medium enterprises, and startups, in
the banking, finance, information technology, and engineering fields. In
general, they are at bilingual, speaking at least English and Indonesian,
and possess an overseas education. The age range of the members is between 22
and 40.
The Indonesian Professional Association (Singapore) became a
formally registered non-profit association in the Republic of Singapore on
February 28, 2000. Currently, a team of 12 to 15 volunteers manages the
organization.
