IPA is now one year old!

The birthday was celebrated in a cheerful mode at the heart of Muhamed Sultan area. Approximately 200 people were present that night. Most were Indonesians and IPA members with some other nationalities spotted.

Does the colour match? What kind of tie should I wear? These questions were answered during this seminar. Participants showed up for the event where Ms Suzanne took centre stage and described various dressing tips for men and women. Topics for the discussion included colour  coordination, personalities and practical clothing tips for formal, professional and casual wear. The air of the seminar was relaxed, interesting and enlightening.

Now we know that white socks and black pants will never match!

The first IPA Annual General Meeting was held to present the Financial Report and Status, as well as to draw programmes and budgets for the next yearly period. Ten committee members, two members and two non-members attended the meeting.

IPA, together with Citibank as the main sponsor, proudly presented a seminar on Personal Financial Assistance. Approximately 30 people attended this professional event.

The topic for the evening covered general financial planning and investments, and was presented by Mr. Gary Ang (Assistant Vice President of Citibank Personal Banking).

The IPA Management Committee wanted to organise something different from our normal networking gatherings.

This time we were able to able to attract over 50 people to our High Tea at Planet Hollywood. Some of the members came to watch Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon, while some came primarily to mingle. The smaller crowd allowed us to have more "intimate" conversations.

The first IPA bowling tournament saw a total of 23 participants forming 7 teams of 3-4 people each. Everyone who turned up enjoyed themselves at the bowling session and it was a great time for interaction and making new friends.

Champions of the tournament went to Team STRIKERS, consisting of Mr. Fernando Tjia, Ms Tan Tan Simokar (aka Mrs Tjia), and Mr. Stanley Invanio. Congratulations!
