The event at Boat Quay attracted close to 60 participants, which made the place a little packed. Pak Manggi Habir shared with us his insights on what makes a successful person, his personal career path and a little bit more on what he does best - on credit rating analysis.

There were more than 130 IPA members and non-members who came to the party that ended close to midnight. The great response was definitely a great boost to our association, as this showed the support we receive from the Indonesian community in Singapore.

IPA was very honoured to invite Mr. Gita Wirjawan to give us an insight of the corporate world.
Here’s a summary of what he felt were important traits to be successful. There are basically two ingredients: EQ (Emotional Quotient) & Common Sense. He felt that it was more important to have good EQ, being able to express clear views, and being able to mix around with different people instead of having high IQ (Intelligent Quotient).

This is the first time IPA invited some of its entrepreneur-members to share stories on entrepreneurships. The forum bundled with a Hi-Tea gathering attracted about 40 participants.
The three speakers are:
- Mr. Jeff De Silva (Senior Associate Director of HIS Singapore Realtors Pte Ltd)
- Ibu Ani Untung (President of Worldwide Hotel Reservations Network AOPT Pte Ltd)
- Mr. Andreas Markus (owner of a trading company here)

Although most people were late due to work commitments, we had close to 40 participants by 8pm. It was more of a relaxed event, with people doing some catching up & networking.

Despite the wet weather, the BBQ last Saturday attracted more than 70 people. None of the food was barbecued, but it was good to have an opportunity to know more people.

This meeting cum BBQ, which lasted till night time, was only open to IPA executive committees and potential volunteers. In this meeting, Mr. Fernando Tjia was suggested to take over the Vice President position left by Mr. Johny The, who was leaving for Indonesia.

IPA Singapore closed the year on a high note by organising a Christmas High Tea. The High Tea was held as a networking and charity event to remember the Bali Bombing tragedy. Volunteers from Nanyang Technological University and the National University of Singapore presented some Balinese Dance performances and this was later followed by games, food and exchanges of name cards. The event was closed with a lucky draw with the grand prize of a weekend Bintan resort stay.
