Date: Saturday, 19 July 2003
Venue: Rendevouz Hotel, Ballroom, 2d floor
Fee: S$28 (members), S$35 (non-members), S$40 (walk-in)

There were more than 130 IPA members and non-members who came to the party that ended close to midnight. The great response was definitely a great boost to our association, as this showed the support we receive from the Indonesian community in Singapore.

We were also very honoured to have a special guest to join us, Deputy Chief of Mission from the Indonesian Embassy, Pak Eddi Hariyadhi and Pak Chalief Akhbar, Head of Information & Culture. Pak Eddi was thrilled to find such a big Indonesian professional community here and expressed his support for IPA to continue to grow. He even invited us to use the Indonesian Embassy for future venues and treat it as our "second" home.

After the buffet dinner, there were performances by Guitarist Daniel Purnomo, and a band named BUMI to promote the IndoArt Festival project. Mr. Simon, the MC, then attracted laughter from the audiences with loads of party games.

Some of the participants were made to show their chest hair, and act as football commentators speaking in different languages. There were many door prizes given away, plus many lucky draw prizes including the grand prize of a return air ticket to Jakarta sponsored by Ibu Ani. The fun continued with disco dancing till midnight.

We'd like to thank all our sponsors for the luck draw prizes. Special thanks to Indocafe, who presented every participant with a bag full of coffee & tea products.
